Buddy John Brock, Sr., 75, of Mountain View, Arkansas passed away at his home on Sunday, October 8, 2023 in Mountain View, Arkansas. Buddy was born on November 22, 1947 in Parkin, Arkansas to the late Lether and Helen McDaniel Brock. Buddy was blessed with a green thumb and was an avid gardener, who also enjoyed carpentry and woodworking. Buddy was a member of the Arkansas Farmers Union Green Thumb. He was very proud of the work that he had helped with especially the work on the city park at Mountain View, Arkansas. Buddy enjoyed fishing, hunting, swimming, playing chess, card games, and puzzles. Some of the fondest memories are Buddy building his family authentic igloos. He loved to get his telescope out, and all the family would take turns watching his bird feeders. Buddy loved buying go carts, three wheelers, motorcycles and four wheelers, where we would go in the long open path to our family?s farm and play. Buddy made growing up really fun and will be greatly missed by all of his loving family and friends.
Buddy is survived by one son, Buddy Brock, Jr.; two daughters, Judy Brock and Carolyn Motes and husband Marty; grandchildren, Cara, Natasha, Shawna, Lane, Brock, and Ashton; eight great-grandchildren; sisters, Betty, Bonnie, and Beth; and many extended family and friends.
Buddy is preceded in death by his parents, Lether and Helen (McDaniel) Brock; his wife, Judy Diane McMurray Brock; four brothers, Bill, Bob, Bennie, and Byron Brock; and one grandchild, Krista.
Buddy will be interred on Wednesday, October 11, 2023, 5:30PM at Norick Chapel Cemetery in Mountain View, Arkansas.
