of Marion, AR
January 7, 1963 - July 31, 2023
Tamara Lee Mettler Daniel, 60, of Marion departed this life on the evening of July 31, 2023. She was born on January 7, 1963, in West Memphis, AR. She was a wonderful mother, loving wife and an amazing Noni that enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren, supporting them in all of their endeavors. She also enjoyed attending weekend trips to Cherokee Village State Park with her dear friends, whom she lovingly referred to as The Earle Girls, as well as working in her garden and attending group exercise classes with her mother. Tamara would be the first person to arrive should a family member or friend need help through a tough time. She was giving and selfless and devoted her time and energy to the people she loved.
She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents Zuriel and Henrietta Sanford; her brother, Robert Earl-Wayne Mettler; grandchild, Baby Skoff; and grandsons, Tatum Joseph Cunningham and Whitten Thomas Cunningham.
Tamara leaves behind to carry on her memory and legacy her husband, Joseph Daniel of Marion, AR; her three children, daughter, Whitney ''Bird'' Skoff (Gary) of Marion, AR; son, Jonathan ''Taylor'' Daniel (Ashley) of Marion, AR; and daughter, Jodi ''Jodi-Lee'' Cunningham (Tyler) of Lake Cormorant, MS; her mother, Eleanor Sanford Wilson of Earle, AR; her siblings, brother, Charles ''Rusty'' Mettler, Jr. of Mississippi; sister, Anna Michelle Parker of Lee County, AR and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Additionally, she is survived by five grandchildren, Emma Lane Skoff, Alexander Lee Skoff, Josie Ann Skoff, Teagan-Marie Dempsey Skoff and Palmer Lynn Daniel all of Marion, AR.
Her children would like to thank family friend, Rhonda Carter, for being there for their mother as promised.
The family will receive guests for the visitation at Roller-Citizens Funeral Home on Sunday, August 6, 2023, from 3:00-5:00 pm. A graveside service is scheduled to take place at Gibson Bayou Cemetery on Monday, August 7, 2023, at 10:00 am.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you kindly make a donation to the NICU at Le Bonheur Children's Hospital in Memphis, TN in memory of her grandsons, Tatum and Whitten Cunningham.
I am so sorry for you, your family and Tamara's family's loss. My heart hurts for you all. Prayers!
My prayers are for the family and friends. I have many fond memories of Tamara while in high school. The class of 80/81 had many tight bonds. The pain of death is hard, but it's not good by, but really a pause, more of " I'll see you later!" I have no doubt that is the case, and will look forward to seeing her once again. God Bless the family with strength, peace and comfort.
Joe, was sorry to hear of your wife’s passing. My grandson, Hunter Williamson let Donna (Ronnie) Culver know about it.
My condolences to you, your children and grandchildren and may God bless you during this time of sorrow.
R.I.P Tamara

We are praying for your family. We sure did love Mrs. Tamara. She was one of the kindest people we have ever known . May GOD give you the peace you need during this difficult time.
Well Cuz, your battle is over. I will miss you dearly. I’ve enjoyed our talks the last few years. You raised a great family and definitely made the world a better place. Our prayers are with your children and your sweet mother.
Tamara was the ideal friend, always there to help her friends. I will miss her so much. I'll love you, till we meet again my dear friend.
I am shocked and saddened! I grew up with Jodi and Taylor, so, of course, I knew Mrs. Tamara quite well! She was my first boss, was someone who could take care of business, and always had beautiful flowers in the garden. I always enjoyed when she would send me home with flowers! Maybe that’s why I enjoy them so much today!
I am heartbroken for Mr. Joe, Jodi, Taylor, and Whitney! Y’all have been through SO much in the last few years. You are in my thoughts and I’ll be praying for God to comfort you all in this difficult time.
I remember Mrs. Tamara in my front yard coming to check on me and my family when my dad died and I am so sorry I won’t be able to be there to do the same for you all in this time.
Taylor and family,
Your Mom was a very nice lady. My thoughts and prayers are with you.
