Dacy Joyce Hooten, 87, of Bee Branch, passed from this life to her eternal reward on July 20, 2023 at Clinton, Arkansas. She was born on September 8, 1935 in the Lower Barrens at Higden, Arkansas to Milburn and Exie Bailey. Dacy married Billy Gean Hooten on December 6, 1955. Dacy is survived by her loving husband, Billy Gean and her daughters, Debbie (Eddie) Goff and Lanita (Darrell) Moore all of Bee Branch. She is also survived by her three grandsons, Kyle (Barbi) Moore, Seth (Hannah) Moore and Evan Goff all of Bee Branch and also survived by great-grandson, Coy Landon Moore and great-granddaughter, Sutton Greer Moore. Dacy was a long-time member of Pine Mountain General Baptist Church of Damascus. She was a model of Christian faith and maintained a Christian home. Dacy and Bill also spent many hours at their "shop" or flea market and at auctions and would get acquainted with people and then invite them to church.

She enjoyed meeting and talking to people. Dacy worked at several jobs including Sterling's and Gibson's in Conway, Collum's Model Market in Bee Branch and Thriftway in Clinton. She also enjoyed sewing and did some sewing for the public. Dacy loved working with people and helping to meet their needs. She had a big heart for both people and for animals of all kinds.
Her favorite pastimes included going to auctions, going to the Amish community near Arthur, Illinois, raising beef cattle and donkeys, operating "Granny's Playhouse" flea market, trips to Branson, gardening, her cats and dogs, sewing and crocheting.

I will forever remember how special it was watching Mr. Bill with Mrs. Dacy. That kind of love and devotion is rare these day. It was truly an honor to be a small part of their lives as Mrs. Dacy’s Chaplain. I loved her dearly.
