Aubrey Lee Lampley peacefully went home to be with the Lord on Friday, July 14, 2023 at 5:00 a.m. in Millington, Tennessee with his family by his side at the age of 91 years. Mr. Lampley was born March 17, 1932 in Tulsa, Oklahoma to parents, William R. and Audrey Hays Lampley.

Mr. Lampley graduated High School at Humes High School in Memphis, Tennessee then went on to become a Veteran of the Army. He worked for Armour Meat Packing, St. Francis Hospital and Wendy's in maintenance. He was often called upon by other to paint, as he was a good painter. He was an avid singer, piano player and played the saxophone in High School. In his later years while residing at the Millington Heathcare Center, he sang and played the piano for the staff and other residents. He truly touched many lives along his life's journey and in his last days, he prayed for the patients and staff at Millington Healthcare. He graduated Bible School in 1999 and was a man of great faith and member of the West Memphis Church of God. He always thought of others first, kept his faith strong, preached and ministered for many years. The staff at Cangerbury Assisted Living in Dyersburg, Tennessee and Millington Healthcare said he was sweetest man and made a mark on their lives. He prayed for his family and friends every night before going to sleep.

Mr. Lampley is survived by two sons, Keith Lampley (Barbara) of Clarkesville, Tennessee and Mike Lampley of Southaven, Mississippi. He also leaves his daughter, Beth Williamson (Jimmy) of Drummonds, Tennessee. He will be deeply missed by twelve grandchildren, Jennifer Massa, Melissa Milan, Jay Acred, Johnathan Lampley, Katie Taube, Drew Compton, Chris Compton, Lori Dahler, Angie Cotton, Glen Hogue, Brandi Grant and Shari Moore; as well as twenty-three great-grand children, who will all cherish their own separate and special memories.

Mr. Lampley is preceded in death by his parents; his wife of 46 years, Earnestine Lampley; his brothers, Bob, Jack and J.D. Lampley; his sister, Mary Ellen Owens; his son, Jeff Compton and his granddaughter, Debbie Davis.

Visitation and Service both will be held on Wednesday, July 19, 2023 in the Chapel of Roller-Citizens Funeral Home of West Memphis, Arkansas. Visitation will begin at 11:00 AM and Service at 12:00 PM. Burial with military honors will take place after at Crittenden Memorial Park in Marion, Arkansas.
