Bobby Wayne Anderson, 77, of Searcy, AR passed away on July 14, 2023. He was born on February 11, 1946 in Huntsville, AL, to Clinton Carter Anderson and Pearlie Mae Flatt Anderson.

Bob was an artist in every way possible: from sensitive soul to his extremely talented creative spirit. Intelligent and witty, he was fun-loving and loved to make people laugh. He had the biggest, most sensitive, most caring, generous heart. Bob loved taking care of the elderly, orphans and the mentally challenged. He gave of himself no matter the time or pain involved and found joy in caring for others.

Bob is survived by his wife, Gwendelin Scudder Anderson; his daughter, Rachael Anderson Jones; granddaughter, Mercedes Victoria Anderson; granddaughter, Bailey Alexandria Jones; grandson, Carter Riley Jones; his sister, Carlene Anderson Landoc; his brother, Gail Edward Anderson; several nieces and nephews and several in-laws. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Arnold (Arnie) Clinton and brother, Edward Glenn.

Bob earned his B.A. from Harding University. He proudly served as an Army Medic during the Vietnam war and fiercely loved his country.

During his career, Bob worked as a nurse while pursuing his degree and became a Nursing Home Administrator. He dedicated his life to caring for others, loving each of them as if they were his own family.

Baptized at a young age, he loved his Lord and worshipped at the College Church of Christ in Searcy, AR.

Bob was extremely talented in many areas. He enjoyed singing and had a beautiful tenor voice. He loved music, especially playing the piano. He loved taking his grandchildren fishing, cake decorating, floral arranging, decorating for weddings or events, gardening, drawing/painting, playing cards, everything Christmas and doing anything with his grandchildren.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, July 22, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. at Roller Daniel Funeral Home in Searcy, AR. A Committal Service with Military Honors will be held on Saturday, August 5, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. at White County Memorial Gardens in Searcy, AR.

Bob was dear to me as is all of his family. He surprised me with all kinds of gifts and fish dinners that some times overwhelmed me. So I have these memories to remember him as we say goodbye (for now).

Gwen and Rachel,
Bob was a good friend with our family growing up. We did so many things together out side of church and was involved with the youth group in church. We went to YOUR wedding out of New York. I remember our trip so vividly.
When you moved to Indiana/ Illinois. We did so many things together. Gwen and I became very close.
You both moved to Searcy and we ended up in Searcy. Our lives have intertwined so many times. I cherish the memories I have and feel so sad to know Bob has passed.
Know that we love your family.
We have been praying for everyone.
