September 22, 1948 - July 3, 2023

Jimmie J. Hodge, 74, of Charleston, Arkansas died Monday, July 3, 2023 in Fort Smith. He was born on September 22, 1948 in Delhi, California to Hiram and Vera Hodge. Jimmie has received innumerable awards in Law Enforcement. He married Gloria Hodge on January 31, 1976, to whom he always referred as his Angel, and they had two wonderful and beautiful children, Shula and Joshua. He has worked as a Production Forman for Gallo at the largest winery in the world, a Special Deputy U.S. Marshal for The United States Marshal Service, a Senior Correctional Officer for The Bureau of Federal Prisons and retired as Head of the Traffic Department for the Department of Defense Police. Jimmie also worked as a Deputy Sheriff for Sebastian County Sheriff's Department. He was very intelligent and had a great interest in politics. His most enjoyable times were spent with his family.

He was preceded in death by his father, Hiram Hodge; his mother, Vera Hodge; two brothers, John Hodge and Gene Hodge and one sister, Patricia Horton.

Jimmie is survived by his wife, Gloria Hodge; his daughter, Shula Stepp and husband, Dusten of Clarksville; his son, Joshua Hodge and wife, Karina of Houston; five grandchildren, Zoey Stepp, Zipton ''Zippy'' Stepp, Noan Hodge, Nari Hodge and Nami Hodge and one sister, Cletha Hodge.

Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 p.m. Friday, July 7, 2023 at Roller-Cox Funeral Home. A funeral service will be 2 p.m. Saturday, July 8, 2023 at the funeral home, followed by interment at Hagarville Cemetery. Josh Hodge and Dusten Stepp will officiate. Joshua Hodge, Dusten Stepp, Ben Stepp, Travis Horn, Levi Horn and Nathan Ashley will serve as pallbearers. Honorary bearers are Zipton Stepp and Noan Hodge.

I love you uncle Joe ❤️ I wish I could have spent more time with you but I know I'll get to see you again and spend time with you then until then love always your nephew Bubba
