Mr. Terry Wayne Hunt, 70, of West Memphis, AR departed this life on June 13, 2023 at his home. He was born July 2, 1952 in Lepanto, AR, the son of James Claude and Dora Hunt. He grew up in Wilson, AR and graduated from Rivercrest High School in 1971.
Terry married Martha Howerton on August 4, 1972 and they enjoyed nearly 51 years of marriage. He enjoyed reading, gardening and spending time with his children and grandkids. He was a retired supervisor at Hino Manufacturing in Marion, AR.
He is survived by his wife, Martha, of the home in West Memphis; 2 sons, Joshua (Kimberly) Hunt and Brandon Hunt all of West Memphis; 3 grandchildren, Chloe Hunt, Rhea Taylor Hunt and Jude Hunt; 3 brothers, Claude Hunt (Sharon) of Marion, Robert Hunt (Faye), of West Memphis, Paul Hunt (Joyce), of Southaven, MS; 1 sister, Linda Currie, of West Memphis. His parents preceded him in death. Also preceding in death were 3 brothers, James Hunt, William Hunt and Roy Hunt and 2 sisters, Sarah Ann Oliver and Christiva Tolbert.
Visitation will be Friday, June 16, 2023 in the Chapel at Roller-Citizens Funeral Home, West Memphis, AR from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM, with funeral services at 2:00 PM. Interment will be at Crittenden Memorial Park. Pastor Matt McLeroy will conduct the service.

My Condolences to the entire Hunt family.
I worked at Hino with Mr.Terry. When I came here from California, Mr.Terry took me under his wing and mentored me. I called upon him many of times for guidance and he never wavered.
When the opportunity came for him to move into a new role, he talked me into “trying†to fill in his role as SSV. He promised to be there for me every step of the way and he was.
I spent many of days and nights walking beside him watching a master at work. He did it with such ease, patience, love and respect for all. I asked him once, “how do you do all of this everyday and stay so calm†He answered, “Never let anyone take you out of character. You know who you are so stay true to yourself.†Those words remains with me today.
I will never be able to fill the shoes you left behind my friend but I will always remember the steps you took along beside me.
I will miss you my mentor and dear friend

We’re heartbroken to hear of Terry’s passing!!!
Eldon and I have been friends with Martha and Terry since high school. We were in each other’s wedding. We’ve pretty much kept up with each other over the years. We visited them a couple of months ago, and Terry was in a great mood, and very talkative. I’m so glad we had that precious time together. We we’re life long friends.
He will be terribly missed, but we will see him again someday.
