Bobby Gale Martin, 76, passed away Friday, May 19, 2023 at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee. He was born in Jonesboro, Arkansas on December 7, 1946.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Boyd Russell and Velma Davis Martin
"Mr. Bobby" will always be remembered for his love for all kinds of Stock Car Racing. He was employed by both the USCS and Riverside International Speedway. He could always be found on Saturday nights at Riverside International Speedway in West Memphis riding his four wheeler and trying to keep everyone in line.
In his spare time, he loved watching University of Memphis basketball games as well as game shows. He also enjoyed cruising and traveling the "open roads" taking in the scenery. He loved his family and that included his dogs. He will be forever missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by his two sons, Kevin Martin and Matthew Martin (Jamie); one daughter, Laura Beth Martin (Jen); two grandchildren, Katelynn Galligan and Ronnie Galligan; one brother, Gerald B. Martin (Janiel) and his faithful companion, Cali (dog).
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 23, 2023 at Roller-Citizens Funeral Home, 201 N. Pine St., West Memphis, Arkansas from 5:00-7:00 pm. The funeral service will immediately follow at 7:00 pm.

I could never say anything negative about Bobby Martin. He was an angel. Lord, bless his family and all of his friends. He will be missed by so many people that he touched.

Bobby was a classmate at Marion and was part of the West Memphis group that was bussed to Marion. Lost touch after graduating but ran into Bobby in the emergency room at Crittenden Hospital. We had about a half hour to catch up. Sorry to hear about his passing. May he rest in peace.

I know we had our differences in our drag racing days but I think we grew up later. Didn't see much of each other lately but maybe we will race again. RIP!!!!
