Nelson Eddy Sears departed this world on the morning of May 15, 2023. He was a beloved father, grandfather, great-grandfather, friend and Mr. Fix-it. Nelson proudly served in the United States Navy for twenty-one years. At the time of his retirement, he had achieved the rank of Senior Chief. After retirement from the Navy, he held various jobs, such as an engine salesman for Minneapolis Moline, a technical writer for Stewart Stevenson, a refrigeration maintenance worker for Tyson Foods and most recently, remodeling his own house.

Nelson was preceded in death by his parents, Matthew Lee and Vestal Naomi (Morgan) Sears; one sister, Claudia Wagner; one nephew, Lee Wagner and his beloved wife, Mary Ruth Sears.

He is survived by one son, John M Sears and wife, Mitzi of Clarksville; one brother, James Wendell Sears and wife, Shirlene of Clarksville; one granddaughter, Bayley Titus and husband, Patrick of Bremerton, Washington; one grandson, Dylan W Sears of Clarksville; two great grandchildren, Alex and Elizabeth "Lizzie" Titus of Bremerton, Washington; a sister-in-law, Dr. Ardith Ann Morris and five nephews, Steve Sears and wife, Kassen, Stan Sears and wife, Elaine, Charles Wagner and wife, Kay, Sherman Wagner and John Seidensticker.

A visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Wednesday, May 17, 2023 at Roller-Cox Funeral Home Chapel. A graveside will be 10 a.m. Thursday at East Mt. Zion Cemetery in Clarksville. Carl Jones, James Ritchie, John "Wellyn " Seidensticker, Steve Sears, Dylan Sears and Patrick Titus will serve as pallbearers.

Nelson and I were in the CHS band together. He and his first cousin Hal Don were the French horns...beautiful music.
He had a quite, but strong aura that attracted many of us. His precious wife made his life complete.
It was an honor to know him and several of his cousins and his older brother Wendell. Heaven gain a great asset in him!!!!! Johnny Ray

Nelson and I attended Votech for refrigeration and then later worked at Tyson together for 13 years.he was always doing things just perfect, he was a great friend and will be missed.
