Bobby Dean Bryan

of Marion, AR

May 6, 1944 - May 13, 2023

Bobby Dean Bryan, ''Paw'', was born to Marion Bryan and Redell Bryan on the 6th of May, 1944 in Dyess, AR. He was welcomed into Heaven on May 13, 2023 surrounded by family, at the age of 79 in Jonesboro, AR. Bobby was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Johnny Bryan.

Bobby was known as Dad, Paw, Uncle Bobby and Bobby Dean. He is survived by his wife and best friend, Martha Minton Bryan; brothers, O'neal Bryan of Lepanto, AR, Larry Bryan and wife, Pam of Biloxi, MS, Kenneth Bryan and wife, Glenda Bryan of Marion, AR; children, Cristy McPherson and husband, Dennis McPherson of Marion, AR and Christopher Bryan and wife, Kelsey Bryan of Cordova, TN; Grandchildren, Nicholas McPherson of Marion, AR, Haley McPherson of West Memphis, AR, Zoe McPherson of Marion, AR, Presley McPherson of Marion, AR and Alex Bryan of Cordova, TN.

Bobby grew up in Lepanto, AR where he met his best friend and the love of his life, Martha. They were married on December 23, 1964 and had been married for 58 years. Bobby was a devoted dad and grandfather, there was nothing he loved more than his family. Bobby was a member of the Ironworkers 167 for over 50 years. He was employed by Fischer Steel until he went into business for himself. Bobby was a follower of Christ and an active member of Cornerstone Baptist Church. He was a loving friend, to know him was to love him. Bobby was always joking and uplifting people. He was always ready to lend a helping hand. He enjoyed watching movies with his grandkids, being in the ''woods'' where he hunted with family and friends, working in the yard, watching basketball (Lady Vols) and traveling. He was probably best known for his cooking, he loved to fry fish, smoke Boston butts, make spaghetti and chocolate gravy and cook breakfast for the men of the church. To know Bobby was to have a lifelong friend, someone you could always count on and someone who could always put a smile on your face.

A visitation will be held at Roller Citizen Funeral Home on May 17, 2023 at 5:30pm and a Service to celebrate his life will be on May 18, 2023 at 2:00pm. Bro. Tommy Stacy and Bro. Billy Oyler will conduct the service. Interment will follow at Crittenden Memorial Park.

The family asks that any donations be made to Cornerstone Baptist Church Bus Ministry.

To have known Bobby Bryan was a real blessing! He acted very rough, but he had a very loving heart! I will never forget my precious friend. [He used to pick on me, and I, in return would pick on him!] Bobby will be greatly missed by so many people who knew him and loved him.

Martha, Bobby's lovely and sweet wife, and family will be in my prayers for God's comfort during this sad time of having lost Bobby.

We love y'all. My favorite memory is of when Brady and I came to Marion for the family reunion years back and all Brady wanted was Uncle Bobbys secret BBQ sauce recipe. ❤

Cristy and Family,
I’m so sorry for your loss and ask God to give you comfort and peace now and in the days to come. There’s nothing like the love and strength of a wonderful father to guide a child through its life. You were very blessed to have had yours by your side.

This obituary was very accurate. "To know him was to love him." I know he loved his family dearly, and his great love for Martha was evident. Martha, he adored you, and I remember his eyes lighting up whenever he spoke of you. Prayers continue as you navigate through this very difficult time. Much love to you all. Kathy
