Henry Mitchell "Mickey" Palvado Jr passed away on Tuesday, May 2, 2023 at the age of 75. Mickey was born on June 11, 1947 in Memphis, TN to father, Henry Palvado Sr and mother, Charlene Boxx.
He graduated Christian Brothers High School in 1965. Drafted into the army in August 1967, he joined the 173rd Airborne, 2nd of the 503rd at Fort Benning, GA. He served in Vietnam and was a Purple Heart recipient. Honorably discharged in August of 1973. He had a 38 year career with the Jordan Window Company from 1970 to 2008.
He married Marie Lyticia Kjellin on January 20, 1973. They were married for 31 years with two children, Michael and Michelle. Marie preceded him in death due to cancer, on September 25, 2004. He remarried on July 11, 2011 to Efe Etoc, with one son, Philippe Henri "Draco" Palvado.
From hunting and fishing, playing and coaching sports, or just cooking on the grill, Mickey enjoyed the outdoors. He loved reading and watching old classic country westerns, especially John Wayne and Gene Autry movies.
He leaves behind his wife Efe; his three children, Michael (Tina) Palvado, Michelle (Chris) Siebert, Philippe Palvado and his eight grandchildren, Julian, David & Gabriel Palvado, Craig Barnett, Heidi, Eden, Felicity & Amelia Siebert.
Great sense of humor...rest in peace, praying for your family to find comfort in the Lord.
I am so sorry to hear of Micky's Passing. We spoke at length at our class reunion some years back.
I really enjoyed talking with him and catching up on the past. We were both Vietnam Veterans. I was in the Marines and Micky was Army Airborne. May God bless you during this difficult period. Micky is in my prayers.
