Matthew Wells Bodeen, passed from this life on April 28, 2023, at the age of 44.
He is survived by his wife, Christine Vick Bodeen; and two children, Paxton Wells Bodeen (4) and Maddox John Bodeen (2);
two brothers, Jeffrey Bodeen, William Bodeen.
He is preceded by his parents, Michael and Laura Bodeen.
Matthew was born on September 15, 1978, to Mike and Laura Bodeen in Memphis, TN. He graduated with a Bachelor in Engineering Technology from the University of Memphis in 2016.
His work career lasted 21 years at FedEx International. Starting in "the hub" he eventually worked his way up as Engineer for Domestic Linehaul Planning.
He regularly spent his time bowling with friends and playing with his sons. He was an amazing father, playing superhero, dancing to music, coaching t-ball, and kissed many boo-boos. Matthew was also an active member of First Presbyterian Church and sang in the church choir.
This unexpected loss has touched many people and Matthew will be fondly remembered in many hearts.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks you to donate to his two son's "Life Fund" which will support them in continued education or other life transitions.
The visitation will begin at 10 am with the funeral service following at 11 at First Presbyterian Church in West Memphis on Thursday, May 4th, 2023.
I'm so sorry for the Bodeen family on your loss. We are sending thoughts and prayers from Ohio. I wish we were closer, Will and Rachael, so we tell you in person and give you both a big hug. Love you!

My heart is broken for the Bodeen Family. I will always have fond memories of Matt - he had an ability to make anyone smile and his love for Christ and for his family was evident in so many things that he did. The world is surely a dimmer place now that such a light is gone.
