of Conway, AR
October 4, 1952 - April 23, 2023
William Henry (Bill) Pryor, Jr., 70, of Conway, Arkansas passed away April 23, 2023 at his home.
Bill is survived by his wife of 37 years, Sandy Moseley Pryor; his daughter, Amanda Allen; son-in-law, Randy Jared Allen and daughter, Ginny Pryor; grandchildren, Carroll Ann Crawford and Andrea Allen and his siblings, Michael Pryor (Linnette) and Ann Clements (Gary).
He was preceded in death by his parents, Wanda Groom Pryor and William H. "Hat" Pryor.
Born October 4, 1952 in Morrilton, Arkansas, Bill grew up playing summer league baseball, fishing and hunting and was a valued member of the MHS Devil Dog football team. Though he excelled both academically and athletically, he preferred to spend the majority of his time outdoors hunting and fishing. As a lifetime sportsman, he shared his wisdom with family and friends who will miss his guidance.
Many may know him as Coach Pryor. He coached both daughters through youth softball. He was legendary for his rule book knowledge and a few interactions with umpires. He was always proud of all of his girls.
Graduating from UCA in 1975, Bill was a member of Sigma Tau Gamma Fraternity. After graduation, Bill worked for the State Employees Retirement System for the first part of his career and then spent many years working for Conway Regional Medical Center where he made lifelong friendships. After his 2018 retirement, he volunteered on the board of the Faulkner County Senior Citizens Center and served as President of the Board.
Visitation to be held at Roller-McNutt in Conway at 9am Wednesday, April 26, 2023 with funeral to follow at 10am. The family requests flowers to be sent to Roller-McNutt Funeral Home and memorials made to the Faulkner County Senior Citizens Center.

Mike and Ann - My prayers and thoughts are with you. Bill was a great person to know. I have numerous memories of Bill. Growing up on Division Street, we would have baseball games in our backyard. Bill and Mike would come over and me and my brother Clark would play different sports, but mostly baseball. The rules were simple. We would divide up teams and then play a maximum of 6 innings or when the first brother to brother fight would break out. We rarely played 6 innings.
Another great memory for me was after football games. I was fortunate to play as a sophomore and Bill was a senior. After each game I would ride home with Bill after a few stops at many of the late-night high school locations. As a sophomore I was in social circles I did not know existed. Bill was a great friend (as was one of my best friends, his brother Mike). He will be missed.
I have wonderful memories of Billy from high school days. On Sunday nights he would come from the Baptist church with friends and pick me up with his Methodist friends, and we would ''ride around'' Morrilton. Billy taught me how to drive a standard shift car; a skill that served me well!! He was a great listener too. I looked up to him and would be so glad to see him as the years passed.
My prayers are with all of the family.
My deepest sympathy and prayers for the Pryor family. Such a great loss for our community and the Senior programs of Faulkner County. Bill had a love for Seniors and brought great strength to the Board of Directors. I worked very closely with Bill on many projects. I appreciated his expertise and especially his humor. He will be greatly missed.

Rest in peace Brother. Without you I don't know if I would have had near the experience or learned half as much. Sandy, our condolences to Bill's and all the Brothers Sweetheart. Our hearts hurt because they beat in time with Bill's and yours.

The Faulkner County Senior Citizens Program and our community are better as a result of Bill having passed through this world. If he were here to read this he would probably joke about having passed through this world ''like a herd of turtles.'' I will miss Bill's friendship, honesty, loyalty, HUMOR, and his many questions. I will miss Bill. My love and sympathy to his family.
To Bill's wife and Mike and Ann so sorry for your loss. My family and the Pryor's were church family at FBC for many years. I learned much Bible wisdom from his dad. Good memories.
