Barbara and her husband moved to Arkansas from Ohio in 1992. They built a log home and enjoyed all that Arkansas had to offer. They rescued many abandoned dogs in the area, then kept them and loved them all.
Barbara worked for the Arkansas Area on Aging and volunteered for various places including the Humane Society and the hospital's Bargain Box. She was a member of Flippin Christian Church and The Order of Eastern Star.
There will be no visitation, but the Flippin Christian Church will be hosting a memorial service at 10:00 am on Monday, May 1, 2023. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Humane Society of Marion County or the Hospice House in Mountain Home. Interment will take place at a later date in Ohio near her parents, Dewey and Alta Widmer.
Barbara was a co-worker at the Flippin Bargain Box. A very nice lady.
Barbara was so sweet ,she visited us alot ðŸ' and the grandkids will miss her dearly..prayers for her son and family..she will be truly missed..
Mrs. Barb was such a special lady, and James really enjoyed working for her on her painting and staining projects through the years. We shared a love of books, Arkansas wildlife and dogs. Eternity was much on her mind the last couple of years and she sent us a copy of several poems after we moved to Alaska in which she had written about what it would be like to see Jesus after walking by faith here on Earth which we greatly treasure. She will be missed and we are so grateful to have been blessed to get to know her. We give our condolences and prayers to her family and all of us who love her.
Ms. Barb will be missed by everyone that knew her. I had the honor of volunteering with her at the Flippin Bargain Box.
Enjoyed many visits with both Barb and Bill when they came into eat at Anglers Resort-Restaurant.
R.I.P. Barb now you and Bill are together.
Regards,
