Robert Allen Weiser, Jr.I am a Veteran.

of Greenbrier, AR

August 29, 1946 - April 18, 2023

Robert Allen Weiser, Jr., age 76, of Greenbrier, Arkansas, went to be with the Lord, April 18, 2023. Robert was born in Council Bluffs, Iowa, August 29, 1946. He is preceded in death by his wife, Connie Weiser; parents, Robert Allen Weiser Sr., and Arlene Alice Weiser; a brother who passed away in infancy; nephew, Todd Weiser, and his aunt, Mona Foote.

Robert is survived by three sons, Danny Weiser, Sam Weiser (Becky Weiser), and Adam Weiser (Wendy Weiser); one daughter, Ami Trammell (Derek Trammell); eleven grandchildren, Aron Fenton, Nikolas Weiser, Maggie Weiser, Angelina Osburn, Sydney Weiser, Nikolas Weiser, Marcus Weiser, Lauren Osburn, Alyssa Trammell, Lexis Haase, and Quinn Haase, and two great-grandchildren, Aspen Fenton and Valkyre Weiser.

Bob was an amazing, selfless man and never met a stranger. He often volunteered for one thing or another in his community. After he graduated High school, he enlisted in the U.S. Air Force and became a sergeant before his honorable discharge. He had been stationed in Omaha, Nebraska during the Vietnam War and was a flight mechanic. Bob then returned to Marshall where his family had moved and continued his career at the Chicago North Western Railroad. In 1995 he transferred to North Little Rock Union Pacific railroad where he retired after 40 years of service. After retiring from the railroad he took a job at Wal-Mart and worked another 14 years. In between, Bob spent 25 years as an EMT and volunteer fireman, working first in Mayflower, Arkansas and eventually in Quitman, Arkansas. He also volunteered as a First Responder and love to work local ball games as stand by.

When his kids were young and playing sports, he served on the Board of Directors as the equipment manager for Marshalltown Football League, as well as coached his son's baseball team for several years, traveling Iowa for tournaments, often with his suburban loaded up with the whole ball team.

Robert was a devoted husband and father. Whenever he was needed he was our rock. We could always count on him for anything. He mended broken hearts and wounded knees, a mentor to some and a surrogate father to others. He treated everyone like family. Bob was one of a kind and can never be replaced. He will live forever in our hearts and minds.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00am, Sunday, April 23, 2023, at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home in Conway, with a visitation one hour prior.

So sorry for your loss. Bob will truly be missed. I made numerous calls with him while with Quitman and sat many nights at football games driving him crazy with all the questions about football. We watched over each other at conference every year. I’m going to miss the best friend a person could have. Rest in peace.

I only seen Bob Jr. one time when he was about two yrs. old. Bob and Arlene came to visit us on spencer ave. in Council Bluffs, Ia. Bob Jr. had a small pair of jeans on with the pant legs turned up about 5 inches. He was a cute little guy. May god rest his soul.
