October 7, 1929 - March 30, 2023

Marjorie James Dixon, 93, of Benton passed away peacefully at home on March 30, 2023. Born on October 7, 1929 to the late Clarence William and Cora Belle James. Marge had a love for quilting, she was a member of the Quilters Guild and the E.H. Club. She was very involved in judging the quilts at the Saline County Fair, after winning numerous times. Marjorie was a volunteer at Friends of the Library in Saline County and enjoyed the time there. Above all else Marge loved her family, she was the glue that kept everyone together.
Marjorie is survived by her husband of 73 years, Charles Dixon; children, Kent Dixon (Cheri'), Joyce Castle (John), Jeanne Hynson (James), Kirk Dixon (Pamela); two sisters, Emma Louise Brunelle and Ruby Eccles; eight grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her son, Keith Dixon and brother, Allen James.
A Memorial service will be held at Roller- Alcoa Funeral Home (6700 Alcoa Rd. Benton, Ar. 72015) on Saturday, April 1, 2023 from 2:00pm-4:00pm.

My deepest condolences and heartfelt prayers to Ms. Marjorie's family. I always enjoyed seeing her quilty talent and I so enjoyed her company at quilt guild meetings and retreats. She will be greatly missed.

I am so sorry about your loss. Marge was a dear sweet giving person and it
was my pleasure to get to know her through the Saline County Quilters Guild for many years. She was a vital part of our group until her health began to fail she will be greatly missed.
