of Marion, AR
August 30, 1932 - March 22, 2023
Edmon Davis, 90, left us Wednesday, March 22 peacefully in his home in Marion with his girls by his side. He is preceded in death by his parents, Custer and Mamie Davis and his grandson, Lance Williams. He is survived by his wife of 70 years, Mary Frances Eubanks Davis and his daughters, Debbie Williams (Ronnie) and Lisa Pieri (Sean) both of Marion. He is also survived by two grandsons, Carson and Dylan Pieri of Marion; a granddaughter, Lyndsey McClour and great-granddaughter, Ryleigh McClour of Wynne.
Edmon was born August 30, 1932. He was a graduate of Parkin High School and then attended Memphis State University until he joined the US Air Force. After four years, he left the military life for a career as an air traffic controller at Memphis International Airport. He was a member of Earle Baptist Church and enjoyed serving there. He loved to hunt with his buddies and have friendly banter over coffee. Most of all he loved his family. He was a proud supporter of his grandchildren, Lance, Lyndsey, Carson and Dylan, attending their sports and special events as often as he could. Once he retired, he enjoyed memorable trips with his love, Mary Frances. He shared many meals and laughs with his son-in-laws, Ronnie Williams and Sean Pieri and loved them like sons. In 2020 he was so excited to welcome his great granddaughter, Ryleigh McClour. Even as his health deteriorated, her sweet voice could bring a smile to his face. He was a special man and although he will be missed, his family finds comfort that he is in Heaven with his Savior.
Memorials may be made to Earle Baptist Church or Dierksen Hospice, whose caring staff was a blessing and source of comfort during these few months.
