Elmyra Brown

November 21, 1951 - March 21, 2023

Elmyra Brown was born on November 21, 1951 to the union of Ernest and Inell James in Trumann, Arkansas. At an early age she accepted Christ as her personal savior and served as a faithful member of The Christian House of Prayer.

On June 25, 1972, Elmyra Brown was united in holy matrimony with Willie Lee Brown. Elmyra was a loving, caring, devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She enjoyed fishing, baking and crocheting. Cooking meals for her family was her love language.

Elmyra was so close to God and was a giver to the community. She was a joyful person who lived a blessed life. God called her home on March 21, 2023.

Elmyra is survived by her son: Dwayne (Tavara) Brown; step-sons: Zachery Smith and Lawrence Brown; step-daughter: Tina Brown; sister: Linda Sue Thompson; brothers: Frank (Jean) James and Herman James; grandchildren: Emmanuel (Tommie), LaCaressa, Tyress, Onie, LaTasha (Jerald), DeJuante, Dwayne, Chandell (Terrence), and Cameron; 13 great-grandchildren; one goddaughter and a host of nieces, nephews and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Willie Lee Brown; daughter: Ardell Brown; sisters: Julia Mae Williams, Beatrice Bass, Katherine Wallace, Annie Mae Iston, and Mary Lucille Jackson; brothers: Johnny James, Freddie James, Crock James Jr., Sammy James and Charles James. Visitation will be held at Roller-Swift Funeral Home on Friday, April 7, 2023 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Funeral Services will be held at Luxora First Baptist Church on Saturday, April 8, 2023 at 11:00 am. Interment: Rivercrest Gardens Cemetery. The family of the late
