Alice Williamson, age 93, passed away at her home in Austin, Texas on March 13, 2023.
She was born in 1929 in Steele, Missouri to George W. ''Bud'' and Bertha Wicker. She grew up in Steele, graduating from Steele High School in 1947. She was an active member of the Church of Christ in Elaine, Arkansas and then Cypert Church of Christ in Marvell, Arkansas.
Alice married Ashlin ''Tunney'' Williamson of Cooter, Missouri on December 26, 1948. They moved from Missouri to a farm near Snow Lake, Arkansas in 1957. The family later moved to Elaine, Arkansas in 1965. Alice and Tunney moved to Austin, Texas in 2008 to be near family.
She is survived by her son, Barry Williamson (Holly) and daughters, Alecia Lybrand (Gary) and Jan Dunkerson. She is also survived by seven grandchildren, Alison Mellon, Tim Lybrand, Patrick Lybrand, Holt Williamson (Lauren), Ashlin Williamson (Malorey), Kim Smith (Kevin) and Loi Chambers and five great-grandchildren, Kyli Finch (Lee), Keith Smith (Theresa), Aden Williamson, Ellie Williamson and Wesley Williamson. She is also survived by a host of other relatives and friends.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Ashlin Williamson; daughter, Karen Tepovich; son, Tracy Williamson; her parents; brothers, Warner Roberts, Robert Wicker, Johnny Wicker; sister, Katheryn James and her son-in-law, Darrell Dunkerson.
Funeral services will be held at Roller Citizens Funeral Home in West Helena, Arkansas on Saturday, March 18th at 11 a.m. A visitation will be held prior to the service at 10 a.m. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Park. Brother Mark Spencer will officiate.
The family would like it to be known that there will be a fellowship provided at the Helena West Helena Country Club immediately following the graveside.
