Dona Horne Kinslow, 72, of Little Rock went to be with the Lord March 13, 2023. She was born February 7, 1951 in Williamson, West Virginia to Charles Eugene and Elizabeth Naomi Horne. Dona graduated from the University of Richmond in 1972 with a degree in French and English, after graduation she taught in the Portsmouth Virginia School System. When Paige and Chase came along, Dona became a full time Mom and later decided to get back in the work force as a real estate agent working for McKay and Company. She was a member of Fellowship Bible Church and the 20th Century Club. Dona loved spending time with her children and grandchildren and traveling with her husband, Charles; some of their favorite places to visit were Santa Fe, New Mexico; New Orleans, Louisiana; St. Simons Island, Georgia and Oxford, Mississippi. When home, she loved knitting, needlepoint, spending time with her dog, Charley and cooking for her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents. Dona is survived by her husband of 47 years, Charles Kinslow; two children, Paige Huffaker (Michael); Chase Kinslow; two grandchildren, Will Huffaker; Lydia Huffaker; brother, Randy Horne and sister, Linda Williams.

The family gratefully appreciates the Arkansas Heart Hospital staff including Krysten Pilkington and Michelle Pace as well as Doctors Nash, Card, Lindley and Toledo, who cared for her during her 7-week stay. We are also likewise grateful and appreciative to Casework Manager Dena Rogers at the Cornerstone Long Term Acute Care Unit at St. Vincent Hospital in Little Rock for Dona's 1-week stay.

Visitation will be held from 5-7 pm Friday, March 24, 2023 in the Garden Room of Roller Chenal Funeral Home, 13801 Chenal Parkway with a memorial service following at 10 am Saturday, March 25, 2023 at Fellowship Bible Church, 1401 Kirk Road.

Dona was such a wonderful person. She lit up the room with her caring and warm smile. We got to be such good friends working together at McKay and Company. I still have all the scarfs you knitted for me to go with my turtlenecks. You loved your family with all your heart and you will be so missed. Prayers for comfort for your family. With all of our love….. Steve and Joanne

Dona was a very good friend. When she came aboard at McKay and Company we became friends, however, Dona was friends with everyone. She was a dedicated Realtor who enjoyed meeting new friends through Real Estate. A very caring and loving lady who will be missed. I cannot even imagine what you are seeing and doing right now. You and Jesus face to face.

I’m so saddened by Dona’s passing. She was held in such high regard by so many and always such a professional realtor. Done was such a joy.

Donna an I had wonderful time staying at our grandmothers. We would walk to Willow Lawn shopping center and laugh and carry on.
She was a great cousin to have when we’re teenagers.
Greatly missed
