Mr. Doyce Haney, 75, of Ava, Missouri passed away Monday, March 13, 2023 in Mountain Home. He was born on December 3, 1947 in Mountain Home, Arkansas to Melvin and Inez (Helms) Haney. He was an Army veteran and retiree of the Corps of Engineers after 39 years of service. He enjoyed raising cattle, farming and reading. He was a mountain of a man who loved his family and was willing to go the extra mile for anyone in need.
Doyce is survived by his 3 daughters, Lisa (Haney) Comfert, Megan (Haney) Durazo (Nick) and Melissa (Haney) Simeon (Scott); 2 grandchildren, Hannah Comfert (Cody Martin) and Grant Kromer; 1 great-grandchild, Rhett Lee Martin; 1 brother, Ben Haney (Vivian); 2 sisters, Jeannie Flippin and Jo Ann Williams (David) and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Eloise Day and Helen Gallegos and 1 brother, Clifford Haney.
Services will be private.
I am sad to hear of Doyece’s passing. I truly enjoyed working with him for many years at the Corp of Engineers. He was a “rascal” and great pleasure to have as a friend and coworker. Wish the best for the girls.
I am so sorry to hear of Doyle’s passing. I have the fondest memories of working with both Doyce and Ben at the Corps and our times working cattle and making hay. I wish his girls and their families all the best.

I used to hunt hounds with Doyce and my grandfather, A.R. Johnson. Doyce was always my buddy. And made sure I knew I was his buddy! He will be deeply missed by myself & my family! My deepest sympathy.
