of Conway, AR
March 23, 1964 - March 10, 2023
Sandra "Sandy" Gail Duncan-Reese, 58, of Conway, AR went to be the Lord on March 10th, 2023. Sandy was born on March 23, 1964 to Freed and Gail Duncan in Wynne, Arkansas. After Sandy graduated from Conway High School in 1982, she completed a Bachelor's in Education at University of Arkansas and a Master's in Counseling at University of Central Arkansas. Sandy was a middle school teacher before becoming a junior high school counselor. She retired with over 30 years of service to Arkansas Public Schools.
Outside of school, Sandy was very involved in church, including teaching Sunday School for more than a decade and traveling for numerous mission trips. She loved music and attended Cornerstone Festival, a Christian rock festival in Bushnell, Illinois for many years with her daughter and friends. Sandy received her most-valued promotion on December 14th, 2017 and May 11th, 2021 when she became Nana to Drake and Archer Parks. She had the most compassionate heart. She loved people from all walks of life and would give anyone the shirt off her back. Sandy was loud and proud with an infectious laugh. Her smile and sense of humor would light up any room. Everyone that knew Sandy knew she was also an animal-lover, especially Boxer dogs. She was known to take in strays her entire life. Her dogs were her second children. Sandy will be missed by many and her memory will be cherished for years to come.
Sandy was predeceased by her parents, Freed and Gail Duncan; her niece, Lauren Dunn and her nephew, Clayton Otwell. She is survived by husband, Chris Reese; daughter, Mollie Parks (Jacob); stepson, Trent Reese; grandsons, Drake Parks and Archer Parks; sister, Danette Dunn (Craig); brothers, Ted Duncan (Dayna) and Mitch Duncan (Lori); nephews, Britton Dunn, Jordan Dunn, Alex Dunn, Corbin Otwell, Tyler Duncan, Sam Duncan and a whole slew of extended family and adopted friends and family.
Visitation will be held at Roller McNutt on Monday, March 13th from 6 PM to 8 PM. Funeral will be held at OneChurch on Tuesday, March 14th at 1 PM.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to OneChurch, Arkanpaws Animal Rescue or Haven Conway.

I am absolutely heartbroken to hear about Mrs. Duncan-Reeese's transition. She is in the arms of Jesus. I had the priviledge of getting to know her when I was a regular sub at the Jr. HIgh where she was a precious person ; I am so honored to have known her. You and your family are in our constant prayers.
Molly, I’m so sorry for your loss of Sandy. I will never forget her infectious laugh and so much fun. We laughed so hard at her bachelorette party in Glenwood. Her memory will live on.💖🙏💖 Ronda

To Chris,Molly Danette and all Sandys family I pray the Lords Blessings on each one of you as you go thru this trying time. Sandy was a joy to be around just like Gail and Freed were. Prayers for all of you.
Sandra was one of my first childhood friends when we both moved to Bald Knob, the summer of 1974. We bonded over our love of animals and music. I spent many nights at her home and her parents treated me as one of their own. You always knew which house we were at because of our dogs, Bingo and Snowball. They would be waiting outside at one of our doors.
My prayers go out to all of her family. She will be greatly missed.
May God comfort an
strengthen you during this sad time for the whole family. So sorry for your loss Danette.
“Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.”
Philippians 4:6-7
Deepest sympathy to the family. Sandy was like a sister to me, we’ve had a lot of years of fun. Floated down Cossatot river a many times. Our memories will always be cherished. She’s at peace.
