Bonnie Claflin Rhoades Clark

of Conway, AR

January 28, 1958 - February 15, 2023

Bonnie Claflin Rhoades Clark, 65, passed away February 15, 2023 surrounded by the love of her family after a heroic battle with cancer.

She was preceded in death by her father, Fred Claflin and her brother, Ralph.

Loving survivors include her mother, Doris Claflin; her husband, James Clark; her children, Melinee Newman and her husband, Brett, Amber Kaylor and her husband, Dave, Adam Rhoades and his wife, Jessica, Katelyn Jones and her husband, Jonah, Brooklyn Cadena and her wife, Kendra, Christian Clark and Devon Clark; six siblings, Kenneth, Stephen, Joe, Tim, Dawn and Trina; 15 grandchildren, Brady, Zali, Briana, Anthony, Eliott, Ophelia, Keegan, Zakary, Jaxon, Jayden, Keelei, Harper, Mettie, Houston and Jasper; two great-granddaughters, Ellie and Alaia, along with numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.

This list of names may seem long, but it doesn't even begin to cover the people whose lives she touched with her generous spirit and her endlessly positive outlook. Bonnie could always be counted on whether you needed a kind word, a bed to sleep in or someone to put together your dream wedding on a week's notice and a shoestring budget. She lit up any room she was in, from her flowing, sparkling fashion sense, to her chunky and original handmade jewelry, to the way she left a light sent of patchouli wherever she'd been. She was a bright spot in the lives of everyone she knew and the world is just a little bit dimmer without her in it.

Bonnie donated to St. Jude and Arkansas Children's Hospital faithfully for years. The family has requested in lieu of flowers, a donation to either be made in her honor.

A rosary/visitation will be held at 10:00am Friday, February 24, 2023 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Conway, with a Mass of Christian Burial following at 11:00am, celebrated by Fr. Jeff Hebert. Entombment will follow in the columbarium at Oak Grove Cemetery in Conway.

What a beautiful, inspiring' creative and loving soul Bonnie is. Truly, we were all blessed to have shared in her light. Sweet rest Bonnie...I hope you and my husband are catching up. He held a special place for your kind soul in his heart, as do I. So much love to a precious family missing a very special love.

Unfortunately I only had the pleasure of being in Bonnie's presents a handful of times, but the moment I met her I instantly knew she was a great person with a loving, caring heart! Beautiful inside and out!!!! That type of person is very hard to come by these days, it's aggravating that she isn't here to spread her personality and love to the world! I'll never forget who she was. My deepest sympathy goes out to Jim and her family!

Bonnie made the world a better place, her smile could light up the sky. To her children, she was an amazing mother who would give you the world if it were possible. To Ms Doris and family, what a tremendous empty spot at the table. All my prayers to y'all. To her husband, Jimmie, I don't have words to say. The last year you've given your life to her, 24/7. The gratitude her friends and family feel for you cannot be said in a few words. Thank you Jimmie. She was loved by many. God bless you all.
