of Conway, AR

September 11, 1926 - February 3, 2023

Emily Joyner Wooley, 96, of Conway, Arkansas went to be with her Lord on February 3, 2023. She was born September 11, 1926 in Guy, Arkansas to the late Elmer and Verna Joyner. In addition to her parents, Emily was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Marion; her daughter and son-in-law, Francie and Johnnie Outlaw; granddaughter, Joel Cooper; infant daughter, Anita Kim; brother, Glover Joyner and sisters, Frances Fenner, Barbara Watkins and JoAnn Hess.

She is survived by her brother, Stanley (Dee) Joyner; daughter, Joan (Gary) White; grandsons, Stephen Outlaw, Shannon (Angie) White, Stuart (Cindy) White, Spencer (Kim) White; eight great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren and many dearly loved nieces, nephews and friends.

Emily was a great homemaker and a long-time member of Pickles Gap Baptist Church. She was known for her compassionate and generous heart. Emily enjoyed tending to her flower gardens and spent hours working in her yard. She could make any plant flourish. Emily was also very good at games. She enjoyed playing video games, especially Mahjong and always won when she played Crazy Eights. Mama, Nana, Aunt Emily, Mrs. Wooley, whichever name you will remember her by, she will be missed, but we know she was welcomed home by all the loved ones she has been missing here on Earth. We know she has such a smile on her face now. She is with her Lord and Savior, who she loved so much.

A funeral service will be held on Monday, February 6, 2023 at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home, Conway, Arkansas at 2:00pm. A private interment will follow.

I met Mrs. Emily at Stonebridge where my brother was a resident. I visited most every day. Mrs. Emily always greeted me with a smile and wouldn't let me leave without hugs and kisses. I also have a Bible Story time on Sunday nights. If she wasn't sick, she was faithful to be there. Heaven is celebrating her life.

I knew Emily my entire life. Later in life I visited with her. She and I discussed old times at Guy and people who lived there. She will be missed but we can’t really grieve because we know she’s with Jesus.

Aunt Emily was one of a kind. The most kind, loving, compassionate and best person we’ve known on this earth. Anyone who ever met her was a better person for having spent time with her. She will always be remembered with much love.
