I served in the Army.

Danny Don NormanI am a Veteran.

of Searcy, AR

December 26, 1953 - January 25, 2023

Danny Don Norman, 69, of Searcy passed away at his home with his wife by his side, on Wednesday January 25, 2023. He was born in Heber Springs, Arkansas on Saturday, December 26, 1953 to Clarence Oren and Bonnie Jean Jones Norman. Danny was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Charles Lee Norman and one son Jacob Owen Norman.

Left to cherish his memory is his wife, Cynthia Ann Cardin Norman; one son, Heath Joseph Norman; one daughter, Taura Elizabeth (Scott) Allison; two grandchildren, Adam and Bella Norman; one brother, Bruce Norman and one sister, Connie Noreen Norman, along with other family members and a host of friends.

Danny served our country in the Army and the Navy and during his service in the Army he served as a helicopter mechanic. He kept an ear for the helicopters that flew over their house to see if they were running as they should and would let Cindy know ''that one needs to be set right''. He worked as a builder after coming home from the service and loved to build furniture. He was a very giving person and was known to build a piece for someone special and just go give it to them. He made sure that it was complete and exact before he would take it to it's new owner.

His friends and neighbors found Danny to be a very resourceful person who could do anything that needed to be done. He was willing to go anytime he was called by someone and was willing to do whatever was needed. It seemed that he was always able to do what was asked and often times more than what he went to do. He enjoyed helping others as long as he could.

Danny especially enjoyed being outdoors. He loved to hunt and fish and enjoyed working around on their place. He fought a long battle with different serious illnesses in his life and he did that with courage. He set goals for himself to continue to encourage him to get better. Cindy said his last goal that he was working for was to be able to get on his tractor again, so he would look out the window at it to see what he was working for.

No services are scheduled at this time. All services are under the direction of Roller-Daniel Funeral Home in Searcy, Arkansas.

Cindy , Heath, Tara and all the rest of my blood. I'm so sorry for our loss. Danny was a great man, a gentle giant. He was always like a big brother to me, more than a cousin. He was always more of a son to my daddy than a nephew. Your memory and name will live forever. Rest in peace Danny, build furniture for eternity.

Danny was such an amazing man and had so many special talents. He was so kind and always playful. I have fond memories of him in his wood working shop and always a busy body. I'm so thankful for that he was such an amazing husband to Cindy. He and my dad would always get into trouble together and I loved hearing all of their stories. I know that he is missed...and all though I didn't get to see him as much as I'd like, he was always there in a special place in my heart. We love and miss you.
