When I was a young boy, my father and I moved into a house on Richmond street in Wichita, Kansas. My parents were divorced so my father needed someone to watch me when he worked 24 hour shifts as a fireman. Across the street on Richmond lived the Lamb family and I stayed with them. They treated me like family, and I probably spent more time with them than at my own home. Leon "zippy" was just a year or so older but we were good friends. I learned many things from the Lamb family, country music, chocolate gravy, and getting by. I'm sorry to hear about Leon, but I'm very thankful for his and his families time in my life.

Uncle Zip you will be missed. I have all these memories of time spent with Auntie Di and you and the boys and I wouldn't trade them for the world. Love to the family and I wish I could make it. Gone but never forgotten 💚 Chocolate Gravy will always remind me of you 😍
