Shirley Alen Barnes, age 88, of Marianna, Arkansas passed away on Saturday, January 21, 2023. She was born on Friday, October 26, 1934 in Meridian, Mississippi. Mrs. Shirley was a member of the Church of God of Prophecy.

She is survived by her son-in-law, Gary Coy; daughter, Linda Worstell of West Helena, Arkansas; daughter-in-law, Sherry Barnes; six grandchildren, Alan Barnes (Brooke) of West Helena, Arkansas, Missy Keller (Wes) of West Helena, Arkansas, Curtis Reed, Jeff Halbert, David Wayne Worstell and Michael Barnes III; twelve great-grandchildren, Anslee Barnes, Maddie O'Briant, Emery Barnes, Huff Barnes, Kade Barnes, Will Reed, Hays Reed, Ryan Reed, Candice Younger, Krissy Halbert, Callie Rae Halbert and Desi Worstell and sister-in-law, Dora Vipperman.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ray Barnes; two sons, Alan Barnes "Big Al" and Michael Barnes; two daughters, Brenda Coy and Sharon Howard; grandson, Vance Worstell and brother, Bill Allen.

A graveside service for Mrs. Shirley Alen Barnes will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, January 27, 2023 at Eventide Cemetery in Marvell, Arkansas. Pastor Doris Smith and Brother Adam Rowland will officiate.
