Betty Angeline ''Angie'' Sawyer died on Thursday, January 19, 2023 at
the age of 93.
She was born on December 17, 1929, in Corona, Alabama to Aubrey
and Kathleen Lee. Aubrey Lee was in constructon, and they moved to
Pensacola, Florida when Angie was a young girl. They eventually moved
to Gainesville, Florida. There she met and married the love of her life,
Donald Sawyer at the Baptst Student Union at the University of Florida.
They were married 71 years.
Angie was a homemaker for most of her life, although in the 70's she
and Don started a business, Angedon, that was a billing agency for doctors
in Newnan, GA. Angie loved to sew and would make matching
outfits for her four daughters when they were young. She also did a
little watercolor painting, ceramics, and other crafts and encouraged
her daughters to follow their artistic interests, as well.
Angie was preceded in death by her parents ''Aubrey'' Kenneth Lee, Sr.
and Mary ''Kathleen'' Kimbrell Lee. A sister, Mary ''Joy'' Lee Hayward,
and a brother, Aubrey ''Kenneth'' Lee, Jr., and other family members.
She is survived by her loving husband Donald ''Don'' Albert Sawyer (95),
and four daughters: Deborah ''Debbie'' Adeline Sawyer, Melissa Suzanne
''Suzy'' Sawyer Ryan, Patricia ''Trish'' Diane Sawyer Mills and ''Dona''
Cathleen Sawyer. She is also survived by two brothers: ''Robert'' Binford
(or ''Binnie'') Lee, and James ''Jim'' Henry Lee. Angie and Don have 7
grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, February 4, 2023, at 2:00
in the afternoon in the White Oak Theater at the Ozark Folk Center
State Park in Mountain View, AR.

Miss Angie was always a bright and cheerful connection and link to my special friend Doc.
He always mentions their years together which reached 71 of their trips around the sun!!
She was loved and will be missed!

I have heard Deborah say a lot of good things about her mom and dad. i would have loved to meet them. Deborah, Tim and i ride he 4-wheelers, I know Angie was a good mother. someday i will get to see her in heaven.
