Mr. John P. Porter, 72, of Mountain Home, AR, Passed away Tuesday, January 17, 2023.
He was born April 3, 1950 in St. Louis, MO to Arnold and Eva ( Boddy) Porter.
John married his loving wife Linda on December 20, 1969 and they were married for 53 years.
He was a member of the Mountain Home Church of Christ. He served in the U.S. Navy during the Viet Nam War. He was a baseball umpire and loved the Dodgers.
John is survived by his wife, Linda, of the home; one son, Raphael John Porter of Fayetteville, AR; three daughters, Noel S. Porter, Dr. Rene' (Dr. Alan) Diamond both of Fayetteville, AR and April Anne Maddock of Mountain Home; four grandchildren, Carrie, Samuel, Solomon and Scarlett and two great grandchildren, Cayde and Casey.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Arnold and Eva Porter.
A memorial service is scheduled for Monday, January 23, 2023. Visitation will be from 10:00 to 11:00, service is at 11:00am with Brother Ken Burton officiating, Burial will follow in Mountain Home Cemetery.
Services are under the direction of Roller Funeral Home of Mountain Home.

John was a sweet man and will be greatly missed. Thoughts & prayers for all the family.
