My sympathies to the Harris Family and to all the Earle friends of Bill.
It’s fitting that the brothers (Jim and Bill) are back together. They were and are as close as two brothers ever were. Ain’t that right, Bill!! If you knew these brothers at all, I know you have heard those words said before.
They were classic farmers! As a county agent I was with them on their cotton fields late one summer. I was explaining the number of bills and importance of their position on the plant. The very top bolls typically don’t contribute much to the overall yield and weren’t worth protecting from insects. I don’t remember, if it was Bill or Jim, but one of them asked if it would be alright to pick them bolls if they opened up and fluffed out Obliviously, they were poking fun at me, but they were cotton farmers and their business was to pick cotton if it opened!!
One last story, I made the mistake of getting between them in the pickup truck one late afternoon, (after quitting time), and I soon realized I couldn’t hang with the big boys!! If you don’t understand this, you may not have known they real close. Ain’t that right, Jim!!

Billy was always a kind and gentle soul, except on the football field he was a ferocious blocker. I never would have have gained many yards without Billy at pulling guard clearing the way. I will miss his kindness and his ferocity! RIP Billy!

Mr. Bill was such a sweet and kind man. I loved getting to know him during my teenage years and it was a blessing to still have contact with him when I became an adult. He and Norma were so good to Mom when family members passed. I know he had a big crown in Heaven. My condolences to Mrs. Norma, Billy and the rest of the family. You are in my prayers. He will be dearly missed.
