Ronald Jones
September 15, 1934 - December 31, 2022

Our dad was born on his family property in Quitman, AR with his best friend and identical twin, Donald. His parents were surprised having twin boys pop out and Granny was certain that twins needed identical names so the story was repeated that first names was as far as she could go. Imagine being surprised with identical boys, not just at birth but over and over! And oh the stories of these identical boys never ended, from swapping places in many questionable situations to sharing all the dare devilish adventures that boys are known to find. The laughter between those two reminiscing in their later years was contagious!

Dad enjoyed singing with mama, playing his guitar and listening to country music. Antique cars, trucks and vintage military airplanes held his attention. He didn't hold back on learning all he could about anything he enjoyed. He was a learner, an educator and a staunch supporter of his family; making sure they all knew they could learn and achieve anything, because he had their backs.

Dad thrived on helping people he felt just needed a hand up and found his calling at the Hot Springs Rehabilitation Center as the Supervisor of Counseling. He found his passion helping and nurturing people and he found the life partner that would help and nurture him. Dad always said he got "lucky" when he found mama because he got 3 more children! I'm not sure that he meant that every minute of our teenage years, but if not, we never knew it! We were his from day one. But the story doesn't end with the blending of his child with mom's 3 children; one day many years later as we sat hidden on the staircase listening, mama told dad she was pregnant. He was shocked but a few months later Matthew Jordan was born and was his sidekick and her "angel" every day. He was right; he was "lucky".

Dad taught us through his actions how to love people who weren't so fortunate, how to laugh and enjoy family and how to find joy in all the little chores of life. His grandchildren knew they were loved, his children knew they were loved and his wife knew she was loved and adored. I think we were the "lucky" ones.

Remembering him now and always are his adored wife, "Susie"; children, Deby, Teresa, Scott and Matthew and their children and grandchildren. Our family man left each and every one of us with special memories that will last our lifetimes. Thanks Dad.

Very saddened to hear of Mr Ron's passing. I grew up down the road from Ron and Susie, and Donald and Dorothy. While living with my grandmother I spent alot of time at both of their houses. They were very dear to all of us. Our Prayers are with you all

What a beautiful story about your daddy. Simply perfect & you nailed it. He and Don, his twin, were my entertaining cousin-heroes when I was little and we all lived in Searcy. I thought they were fabulous, and they truly were. Oh, how I miss those wonderful, magical days. Much love to Ron's family.
