Danny RileyI am a Veteran.

of Mountain Home, AR

December 23, 1947 - December 29, 2022

Mr. Danny Gene Riley, 75, of Mountain Home, Arkansas, passed away Thursday, December 29, 2022, at Baxter Health in Mountain Home. He was born on December 23, 1947, to Delbert and Clara (Wingo) Riley. He was a member of Bradford Baptist Church in Bradford, Arkansas; but he was most recently affiliated with First Baptist Church of Mountain Home. He was also a member of the American Legion, VFW, and the DAV.

Danny was a proud Army veteran who served in Vietnam and received several medals including two purple hearts (1967 and 1968), other honors, and a Quilt of Valor for his service. He was a jack-of-all-trades, but some of his true talents were being an accomplished musician (playing guitar and vocals), being a published author, and being the greatest grandpa in the world. He was a generous man who was kind to everyone he met. He enjoyed fishing, watching westerns, playing his guitar, reading books, and telling stories of his Army days.

Danny is survived by "the love of his life", his wife Brenda; 7 children: Danny G. Riley, Jr. (Pam), April Gates (James), Jerry D. Riley (Cara), Brookelyn Newsome (Nicholas Kuliecza), Joshua O. Riley (Jaime), Jacob F. Riley (Melissa Drennan), and Tyler B. Riley (Bridgette); 11 grandchildren: Danny G. Riley III, Brittany Freeland (Travis), Taylor Davis (Brett), Joeli Dean, Jordan Kelly (Zander), Noah Riley, Vivienne Kuliecza, James Riley, Molli Howard, Madeliene Kuliecza, and Henry Riley; 3 great-grandchildren: Felicity Davis, Oliver Davis, Presley Toms; his 2 sisters: Margaret Alexander (Paul ''Junior''), Barbara Moultrie (Armden); and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents Delbert Walter Riley and Clara Leona (Wingo) Ray, brother: Gerald ''Dean'' Riley, infant sister: Anita Jean Riley, and life-long friend: Jack T. Prince.

A private memorial service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to: Bob Davis Veteran Center, 421 East 9th Street, Mountain Home, Arkansas 72653, c/o John Pevehouse.

To all the Riley family,
We are so very sorry for your loss. May Danny rest in peace. Sending prayers and comfort your way.
We have known Ms. Brenda for years, her being my children's pre-school teacher. As the years passed, my children went to school with the Riley kids. Please accept our condolences. You have our deepest and heartfelt sympathy at this time.
Sincerely,
Mike and Dianna Roller
