Larry Gene Quick
Was born in Mammoth, MO on May 27, 1944. He attended Mountain Home Public Schools. He married Elaine Pleasant in 1963. He served on the Baxter County Quorum Court, the Baxter County Fair Board and the Mountain Home Saddle Club. He owned Pleasant Mill and Timber from 1973 until 1990. He was a truck driver from 1990 until his retirement.
Larry is survived by his daughter Karla Martin and husband David and son Kris Quick and wife Tammye all of Mountain Home, along with his grandchildren Ashley McCord and husband Preston, Maranda Hickman and husband Chance, Sophie Quick and Sadie Quick and his great granddaughters Kinsley McCord, Payton McCord, Laynee Hickman and Ember Hickman. He is also survived by his brother Garry Quick, his sisters Genelle Mahan, Carmen Quick, Elloise Fore, Norma Haney and Arthurline Morrow and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his late wife Elaine Pleasant Quick, his parents Ben and Delena Quick, his brother Bruce Quick, and sisters Reba Smith and Ernestine Mahan.
As his children grew up, he was involved and played in area softball leagues and participated in Baxter County Fair activities.
If you were involved in rodeo years ago, you know how much Larry enjoyed team roping and watching his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren rodeo.
Larry loved spending time with his family, watching the Razorbacks and the Bombers, spending time with his breakfast buddies and going to the fire department with his brother Garry to visit with the firemen.
He was a local ''old timer'' that loved this area and knew the importance of hard work and family. He will be missed by many.
A visitation will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday, December 31, 2022 at Roller Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am at Roller Funeral Home with burial to follow in Baxter Memorial Gardens.
I’m so very sorry for your loss. Larry was a great man and was always ready to lend a hand. I have many fond memories of him from back in the Saddle Club days. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you.

So sad to hear about my dear friend Larry's passing. I've known Larry for almost 50 years. My husband Willie worked at Pleasant Mill & Timber with Larry and Elaine for many years. I would run into Larry all over town. He would always want to stop and catch up and ask about my kids, even after they were grown. Larry was always genuine and kind. He will be missed greatly. It’s so hard to say …good bye …to someone that has been your friend all of your life. Larry was one of the good guys… and I will really miss him. We sure had a lot of laughs together! My sincere sympathies to all of his family.

I met Larry Quick 30 years ago when I was 18 while he was driving for Mt Home Mfg. Larry would come to AZZ once a week and would always come in the office and visit with everyone. He was such a joker and all around great person! Prayers to the family he will be missed dearly.

Mr. Larry hauled loads for our company for over 20+ years. On top of being reliable and a big help to us over and over, I enjoyed the many conversations we had just visiting in the office talking about family, sports, and everything in between. And so, to the family - we're very sorry for your loss.
