of Centerton, AR
August 21, 1946 - December 1, 2022
Billy Jerrel Vickers, 76, of Centerton, passed away Thursday, December 1, 2022.
Bill was born August 21, 1946 in Batesville, AR to Floyd B. Vickers and Ona V. Finster Vickers.
Raised in Batesville, Bill loved the outdoors and became an avid hunter and fisherman. After graduating high school, he married the first love of his life, Kay and had two boys, Mike and Chris. He spoke fondly of his colleagues at Entergy and the time he and Kay served in the youth ministry for the Assemblies of God in Cushman, Batesville and Camden, AR. Later, Bill and Kay's family would expand with the addition of a daughter-in-law, a son-in-law, and Kay's greatest love rival...four grandchildren. Bill adored his family, especially his grand and great-grandchildren.
After Kay passed in 2017, Bill met and married the second love of his life, Valery Conley, in December 2020. Valery loved and cared for Bill greatly as they battled his cancer together.
Bill had an exceptional love for his Lord and Savior. He unashamedly shared his faith at every opportunity God presented. Family, friends and acquaintances never questioned Bill's salvation. He was a man pursuing God's will.
Survivors include his mother, Ona V. Vickers of Batesville, AR; second wife, Valery Conley Vickers of Centeron, AR; two sons, Michael J. Vickers (Elke) of Bentonville, AR and Chris E. Vickers (Thomas C. Underwood III) of Chula Vista, CA; four grandchildren, Michael Tyler Vickers (Vanessa), Megan Vickers Pritchard (Jordon), Joseph Luke Vickers and Tanner Clayton Vickers-Underwood; three great-grandchildren, Robert William Vickers, Margaret Jean Vickers and Neo Paul Philisiwe Pritchard and one sister, Betsy Vickers McMahan.
He was preceded in death by his father, Floyd B. Vickers; his first wife, Margaret Kay Wood Vickers and sister, Sue Vickers Birkhead.
Honorary pallbearers are Tyler Vickers, Luke Vickers, Tanner Vickers-Underwood, Jordon Pritchard, Phil Wood, David Wood, Ken Smith, Jeremy Wood, Jeff Wood, Jason Wood, Tracy McMahan, Benjamin Birkhead, Dan Wierda and Brad Wierda.
Graveside services will begin at 10:00 AM Friday, December 9, 2022 at Pleasant Valley Cemetery in Cushman under the direction of Roller-Crouch Funeral Home with Phillip Mize officiating.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his honor to Circle of Life Hospice in Bentonville, AR or the Bella Vista Assembly of God.

Bill was a good friend and co-worker at APL, always smiling. He truly loved his family. God bless all of you.
Jesus is your comforter in times like this. So sorry for your loss.
Chris and Family. May your Dad rest in peace and be reunited with your mom. May they watch over you all. Our hearts and prayers are with you always. Love is being sent as well.
We had the honor of knowing Bill for a few short years. When he and Val started spending more time together, our lives became intertwined. We had hoped, that once he married Val, that we would be able to spend more time together enjoying life. He was a GOD send for Val and her family, to see her happy with someone so special. We know Bill is a much better place, but that doesn't lessen the hurt of losing Bill to our Heavenly Father. Our heartfelt condolences go out to Val and Bill's family during this difficult time. Bill will be missed.
Such sadness that he was taken so soon. Condolences to the family. 0

Bill was my youth leader and actually led me to the Lord when I was 15 years old. We played music together and had many wonderful times together with him and Kay.
