of Mountain Home, AR
December 12, 1963 - November 30, 2022
Corporal Tracy Floyd Munson, 58, of Mountain Home passed away November 30, 2022 with his family at his side. Tracy was born to Floyd and Geneva (Nelson) Munson on December 12, 1963 in Westmoreland, Kansas.
Tracy was a husband, father, grandfather and friend. He loved his family. You did not have to be around Tracy long to hear about his wife, daughters or grandbabies. He had a sense of humor, a loyalty and a respect for others. He was a hard working man.
Tracy had a servant's heart; he demonstrated this with over 17 years of dedication to the Baxter County Sheriff's Office. It was clear that the brothers and sisters in Blue were his extended family. His passing has left a void in so many hearts.
Corporal Tracy Munson is survived by his wife, Pamela L. Munson; three daughters, Alicia Copper (Justin) of Mountain Home, Erika Munson (Chrys) of Mountain Home, Alena Brown (Tyler) of Mountain Home; one sister, Julie Higgins (Dan) of Leonardville, Kansas; one niece, Jessica Koch of Seneca, Kansas; father, Floyd Munson (Julie) of Olsburg, Kansas; six grandchildren, Josiah Munson, Nizhoni Munson, Roland Raymond, Audrey Raymond, Jaxson Brown and Kinslee Brown and two great nephews, Logan Koch and Kayden Koch. Also surviving is a host of other friends and family. He was preceded in death by his mother, Geneva Munson.
Visitation will be 12:00-7:00 PM Monday, December 5, 2022, with family receiving friends from 5:00-7:00 PM. Funeral Service will be 10:00 AM Tuesday, December 6, 2022 with Brother Bill Hughes officiating.

I enjoyed working with Tracy when I dispatched. He would always have a smile on his face and come up to the tower when he had a chance just to make us laugh. He talked a lot about his family. He will be missed by many. Prayers for his family, LE family, and the many friends he made. Thank you Tracy for all your years of service protecting Baxter County.
I met Tracy when he started to work at the sheriff's office. We backed each other up on a lot of calls during the 13 years that I worked the street when Tracy was working. I found him to always be calm, courteous, and professional when dealing with the public. He was an asset to the sheriff's office, and made Baxter County a better place in which to live. My deepest sympathy to all of his family, and his law enforcement family as well.
