of Pleasant Plains, AR

October 26, 1944 - November 22, 2022

Royal Dean Burress, 78, of Pleasant Plains passed away Tuesday, November 22, 2022.
He was born October 26, 1944 in Searcy, Arkansas to Royal H. Burress and Oma M. (Hays) Burress.
Royal was a member of Flippo Chapel Missionary Baptist Church; he was very loving and always available for anyone who needed him. Royal was a very outgoing and hardworking man; he worked for Arkansas Poultry and ConAgra in the maintenance department for several years. He was a "Mr. Fix-it" of sorts and could fix anything. He loved his dog, Rambo and taking care of his farm, he also loved to fish and ride motorcycles, but most of all he loved his family.
Survivors include his two daughters, Missy McClain (David) of Newark and Sissy Ford of Batesville; two step-sons, Thomas Johnson and Jacob Weaver both of Cave City; eight grandchildren, Courtney Robison (Dalton), Taylor Ford (Baylea), McKinley Fox (Dr. Phillip Pack), Dylan McClain (Megan), Kaylee Pearce (Ty), David Carter McClain, Addie McClain and Everleigh Weaver; five great-grandchildren, Harper Robison, Dash Pearce, Tessa Ford, Rue Pearce and Carson McClain; as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Kenny Burress.
Pallbearers are Phillip Lamb, Troy Warden, Joey Hays, Matt Hays, Steve Nichols, and Morris Wood. Honorary pallbearers are Steve McMahan, Bill Milligan, and Jim Perrin.
Funeral services will begin at 2:00pm Tuesday, November 29, 2022 at Roller-Crouch Funeral Home with Bro. Dale Crumby officiating. Burial will follow at McMullin Cemetery in Pleasant Plains.
Visitation will be held from 1:00-2:00pm Tuesday, just prior to the service, at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made in his honor to Flippo Chapel Landmark Missionary Baptist Church, 715 Floral Road, Pleasant Plains, Arkansas 72568
