Nancy K. Puckett

of Bono, AR

January 15, 1933 - November 16, 2022

Nancy K. Puckett, of Bono, died after a brief illness on November 16, 2022. Nancy was born on January 15, 1933 in Eaton, AR., to Azro and Marie Nunnally.

Nancy spent many years as a military wife and mother, relocating her family al over the United States as her husband transferred to different military bases. She had obtained her beautician licenses before her marriage and subsequently renewed them after her children were grown. She had her own beauty shop and worked in nursing homes styling women's and men's hair from 1990 until 2000.

Nancey was a beloved wife of 67 years to Robert E. Puckett (dec); mother to Catherine Emerson (dec), Robert E. Puckett II (dec), Sharron Puckett Bradford and Carl R. Puckett. She was sister to Raymond Nunnally (dec), Ruth Davis (dec) and Ellen Lantz (dec), and loving MeMa to 9 grandchildren, and 16 great grandchildren. Nancy was also a lifetime member of the United Church of God.

She loved growing orchids and continued to gather fruits and vegetable to can and freeze so we would always have healthy food to eat. At last count she had over 65 jars of jelly in the pantry. Nancy loved to cook and was legendary in our family for recipes of chili, cornbread, stuffing, pot roast and pies. Our future Thanksgiving dinners will never be the same. Over the last 30 years she also kept a colony of feral kitties fed. She never allowed any one of God's creatures to go hungry.

Nancy was a wife, mother, daughter, sister aunt and friend who unconditionally loved all the members of her family and church. She kept a light burning in the window to welcome her family home no matter how far we traveled. She always forgave us for being foolish and unconditionally loved her family and friends. He kindness and generosity will be missed.

Her ashes will be interred in a graveside funeral in January 2023.

In lieu of flowers, please donating to your local animal shelter or sanctuary.

Roller-Farmers Union Funeral is in charge of arrangements.

I have known Mrs. Puckett for over 40 years from church and she was always very kind. Carl and I played basketball many times at the house. My condolences to the family. I look forward to seeing her again in the resurrection!
