April 2, 1933 - November 7, 2022

Betsy Marie Chrisman Ferguson, age 89 of of Leslie, Arkansas passed away peacefully on Monday, November 7th, 2022 at Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital in Fort Worth, Texas surrounded by her loving family. She was born in New Cambria, Missouri on April 2nd, 1933 to Roscoe Raymond Chrisman and Ruth Isabell Regenold Nickols.

Betsy married David Jackson Ferguson on January 25, 1952. They were married for 44 years until he went to be with the Lord. Betsy was a woman of God, a member of the First Baptist Church of Leslie who served the Lord diligently and faithfully throughout her life. She had an intense fondness for cooking in the kitchen. She would have your favorite meal planned if she knew you were visiting or if she was visiting you. She enjoyed giving friends and neighbors plates of homemade cookies. From her jams to her "pushy-cons", everything she made was delicious. She put all her love and effort into her food. Betsy also loved knitting and sewing. She made hundreds, if not thousands, of quilts, blankets, hot pads, dish clothes, and so much more. Betsy was a loving woman who cared deeply for her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren. She loved to travel and visit family whenever she could, sit for her grandchildren, and host the occasional family reunion.

She is survived by her son, David Allen Ferguson (Michele) of Richmond, Texas, and her three daughters, Victoria Ruth Ferguson Banks (Mike) of Dennard, Arkansas; Dorothy Marie Ferguson Morse (Andrew) of Janesville, Wisconsin; Betsy Faith Ferguson Lewis (Lain) of Aledo, Texas; 11 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren; and her brothers, Ross Chrisman, Byron (Carlene) Chrisman, Lee (Gayle) Nickols and sisters, Gloria "Boots" Hammon and Fran Oas.

She was preceded in death by her husband David Jackson Ferguson; her sisters, Roxie Totie, Anella Oldham and Nancy Young; and her brother, Robert Nichols.

Funeral services for Betsy will be at 2:00 PM Saturday, November 12th, 2022 at Leslie First Baptist Church with Bro. Jim Arnold Jr., Bro. David Latham and Bro. Chris Reade officiating. Special music will be performed by Jim and Diane Arnold and Dillon McCallister. Visitation will be 1:00 till 2:00 PM preceding the service. Burial will be in East Lawn Cemetery where Betsy will be laid to rest beside her husband, David Jackson Ferguson who passed away in 1996. I was very sorry to hear of Betsy's passing. She and my mother Charlene Passmore were class mates and long time friends.
After my moms death Betsy was always telling me about something
That happened to them in school.
Betsy also told me of some special
Kindness shown her by my mother. Betsy thought alot of my mom and mom thought alot of Betsy as well. Sending prayers of peace and comfort for all her family.

Dearest Ferguson family;
You all have been my family for such a long time. Your mother was such a beautiful soul and was always a blessing to be around. The last time she came to visit, we talked about our Lord and Saviour. How much she loved all otf her kids, grands and greats.
She will truly be missed by all that knew her.
Prayers, hugs and love to you all♥️

Dear Victoria and family. Such a sweet person. Always was jumping at the chance to bake her pastor an apple pie, funny thing was it was always missing a piece by the time I got it. She always blamed it on a little mouse. Sure going to miss her. Prayers for you, your siblings, and extended family.
