Alma Jean Davis of Jonesboro was born January 29, 1938 in Marked Tree, AR and passed away Thursday, October 27, 2022 at Ridgecrest Nursing Home in Jonesboro at the age of 84. Alma was a Manager of Admissions at St. Bernards Hospital until retiring. She was a member of Herman Baptist Church. She loved quilting, reading the Bible and traveling.
Alma was preceded in death by her parents, George and Lela (Croxton) Davis; brothers, Darrell, Garland, Owen and Gus Davis and her sisters, Lou Hurt, Ava Bowman, Gladys Brown, Lou Stokes, Estellen Goldman, Mickie Andrews and Virginia Moyer.
Alma is survived by a sister, Sue Mitchell and her husband, Bill and many friends and family.
Chapel services will be 2 pm Monday, October 31, 2022 at Roller-Farmers Union Funeral Home, 1900 West Washington Avenue in Jonesboro with Randy Stimach officiating. Burial will follow at Pine Log Cemetery in Brookland.
Visitation will precede the service beginning at 1 pm.
Bruce Davis, Larry Davis, Jack Davis, Jake Harvey and Greg Russell will proudly serve as pallbearers.

Aunt Jean is a beautiful picture of what loving others looks like...kind, gentle, and generous with her love. I'm honored to have married into a family where I gained her as an Aunt.

Aunt Jean always remembered all our birthdays and never failed to send out a card with money; she was frugal but always generous toward others. I enjoyed the times I got to visit her and talk with her on the phone. She is missed, but we look forward to seeing her again !
