I served in the Army.

Harold Ray WilsonI am a Veteran.

of Mountain View, AR

March 2, 1938 - October 27, 2022

Harold Ray Wilson of Mountain View passed away October 26, 2022 at the Blossoms Nursing Home in Mountain View. He was born on March 2, 1938 in Newport, Arkansas to the late Douglas and Ruth Page Wilson.

Ray graduated from Mountain View High School in 1956. Shortly thereafter, he married and to this union two children, Kirk and Valerie were born. Later on in life, he remarried and moved to Kansas City where he worked as a carpenter.

He then moved back to Mountain View where he bought and operated ''Ray's Car Wash'' for many years. After he sold the car wash, he moved to the farm and helped with a small cattle operation.

He was a lifetime member of the American Legion and a member of the VFW. He loved music and dancing. Many Saturday nights would find him at the VFW in Mountain View or Heber Springs. He was an Army veteran serving his country not only in the states, but in Paris, France as well. Ray enjoyed early morning coffee with his buddies at Hardee's and the Krispy House.

He is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Gary and sisters, Carolyn and Dolores.

Ray is survived by his sister, Joanie (Fred); children, Kirk and Valerie; and a special friend, Kathy Meinter. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were scheduled for Saturday, October 29, 2022 at 2:00PM at Roller Crouch Funeral Home with David Campbell officiating.

Military honors were rendered by the Stone County Honor Guard.

Pallbearers were Freddy Ward, Jr., Gregory Allen, Ronnie Risner, Danny Simmons, Tommy Taylor, and Eddie Cowell.

Honorary pallbearers were Ulyess Woody and Round Table Friends at Krispy House and Hardee's.

Special thanks are due to the Blossoms Nursing Home, especially the nurses, who cared for Ray when he was a resident there. Thanks also to Roller Crouch who were very helpful after he passed.

Roller Crouch Funeral Home in Mountain View, Arkansas is in charge of the arrangements.

Sorry for your loss. When Mr. Ray, used to come into the Krispy House, he always provided a bit of humor in our workday. He always greeted people with a smile rather you stopped by the car wash or he happened to see you in a store.
May God carry you through this time of grief. Hang onto the memories so that they may help feel the empty spot Mr. Ray's passing has left.
