Richard Flowers, 75, of West Memphis, Arkansas passed away October 7, 2022.
Richard was preceded in death by his parents, Melburn Flowers and Lorene Parnell; his sister, Jeanette Temple and his granddaughter, Macy McAuley.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Jane Flowers and his daughters, Kim (Jeff) Justis and Suzy (Bill) McAuley and his precious grandchildren, Michael Justis, Mary Grace McAuley, Mailey McAuley and Max McAuley.
Richard was a member of the Navy for four years. He and Mary Jane moved to West Memphis in 1975 from Texarkana and he began his career as an appraiser for West Memphis Federal. Following his career there, he and Mary Jane started their own business and worked for themselves for fifteen years. He then went to work for Guaranty Loan, where he spent thirty years before retiring. He absolutely loved the town of West Memphis and all of its people. He loved to help anyone and everyone on a moment's notice. Most of all, he loved and cherished spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren, who adored their grandad. His family will miss him every single day until they are reunited in Heaven. He was one in a million.
Visitation will be held at 10:00 am on Monday, October 10, 2022 at St. Michael's Catholic Church in West Memphis. The Rosary will begin at 10:45 followed by the funeral service at 11:00 am.

Richard was a friend and good man. Mary Jane is so sweet as well as his two daughters. All are going to miss being with him and he will always be remembered. He played high school football at Blytheville Arkansas and was tremendous running back. Prayers for his family always!

I am so sad to hear this. Years ago I was associated with a new business in West Memphis and Richard and the bank were clients of ours. I didn't really know many people in West Memphis at the time and Richard was so kind to welcome me and introduced me at networking events and was very supportive of our business endeavor. I remember how much he loved his family, his kindness and his sense of humor. He will be missed by many. I pray for comfort to all his family, but know that he is with the Lord.
