Betty Sue Smith, 89, passed away September 27, 2022 in Jonesboro, Arkansas.
Born May 24, 1933, she was one of ten children born to James and Nellie Utley in Corinth, Mississippi. She was a homemaker and worked at Earle Industries for over 30 years. She enjoyed camping, fishing and sewing.
She is survived by two sons, Gary Smith and Dennis Smith both of Wynne, Aransas; 7 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild; 1 brother, Vernon Utley.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Joel Lee Smith; 2 sons, Michael Keith Smith, William Joel Smith; 4 brothers, Bill Utley, Clarence Utley, Jimmy Utley, Junior Utley; 4 sisters, Alma Jerrell, JoAnn Copeland, Ruth Randolph, Joyce Marks; 1 great-grandson, John-Hayden Blaine Smith.
A Graveside Funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm at Crittenden Memorial Park on Monday, October 3, 2022.

Aunt Betty was always a sweet person. Looked forward to see her and Uncle Joel coming to Mississippi to see all us Pickerings. Now they are finally together again. My heart goes out to each of you. I will keep you in my prayers.
