Mrs. Anneliese Silvia, 89, of Mountain Home, Arkansas (formerly of Danbury, Connecticut) passed away Wednesday, September 28, 2022 at the Hospice of the Ozarks Hospice House. She was born April 10, 1933 in Bremen, Germany to August and Emma (Fein) Jatho. She married Edward Joseph Silvia, Sr. in Maryland on April 1, 1957.

Anneliese grew up in Germany during World War II. She came to the United States as a citizen in 1955.

Anneliese was involved in politics. She earned her bachelor's degree in social work from Western Connecticut University. She was an avid supporter of the Native Americans and conducted many clothing drives and fundraisers for the Sioux tribes in North Dakota.

Anneliese is survived by her brother; Helmut (Christa) of Slidell, Louisiana; 7 children, Curtis (Judy) Stage of Fayetteville, North Carolina, Regina (Dan) Armantano of Danbury, Connecticut, Edward Silvia Jr. (Brenda) of Torrington, Connecticut, Joyce Losito (David) of Watertown, Connecticut, Patricia (Nancy) Silvia of Harker Heights, Texas, William Silvia of Killeen, Texas and Kenneth Silvia of Mountain Home, Arkansas; 7 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband, Edward Silvia, Sr.; parents; sisters, Ursula, Emmy, Dorit and brothers, August and Karl Siegfried.

A memorial service will be held at 10:30am on Monday, October 3, 2022 at Redeemer Lutheran Church.
