Shawn Christopher Kenney, age 63, passed away on Wednesday, September 21, 2022 in Little Rock, Arkansas due to health complications.

Funeral services will be held at Christ the King Catholic Church in Little Rock at 10:00 am on Monday, September 26, 2022. His burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery in Little Rock.

Shawn was born on June 19, 1959 at Bethpage, New York to John Patrick Kenney and Phyllis Mutter Kenney. He went to school and graduated at Our Lady of Victory Catholic School in Wantagh, New York. Shawn moved with his family to Columbus, Ohio, then onto McLean, Virginia and finally to Little Rock, Arkansas, where he has lived since 1976. He graduated from Central High School in 1977. He worked in the construction industry as a carpenter, including several jobs in California and Tennessee. Shawn enjoyed spending his free time in the great outdoors, including fishing, hiking, mountain biking and even constructing his own cabin outside Conway, Arkansas.

Shawn is preceded in death by his brother, Terrence and his mother, Phyllis. He is survived by his father, John Kenney; his sister, Diane Williamson and his brother, Colin Kenney.

Memorials may be given to the American Cancer Society, for whom Shawn expressed his gratitude as a former cancer survivor. The Kenney family wishes to extend their sincere thanks to Baptist Health for easing Shawn's passing in his final days.
