Melissa Ann Vaughn, 60, of Brookland, AR passed away Tuesday, September 13, 2022 in New Iberia, Louisiana. She was born October 6, 1961 in New Iberia, LA to Louis and Ruby (Dore) Champagne. Melissa was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, aunt and friend and always referred to herself as a "domestic engineer". She loved tending to her plants, but most of all, she loved any time spent with her family and her grandkids.
Melissa was preceded in death by her parents.
Those left behind to cherish the wonderful memories of Melissa include her loving husband of 41 years, Scott; son, Luke (Nicole) Vaughn; daughters, Jessica (Michael) Anderson and Heather Vaughn; grandchildren, Keiston Vaughn, Kyra Vaughn, Ariana Vaughn, Kinzey Vaughn, Avery Vaughn and Riley Vaughn; brothers, Nat Champagne and Aaron Champagne; a sister, Celeste Delcambre; god-daughter, Monica Nichols; grand god-daughter, Addie Nichols; a nephew/god-son, Cory Champagne; nephews, Dustin Champagne, Beaux Delcambre, Joey Champagne and Triston Derouen; niece, Kristyn Champagne and many other nieces, nephews, friends and loved ones.
Chapel services will be 11 am Friday, September 16, 2022 at Roller-Farmers Union Funeral Home, 1900 West Washington Avenue in Jonesboro with Rick Hathcoat officiating.
Visitation will precede the service beginning at 10 am.
In lieu of flowers, please consider lasting memorials in Melissa's honor to the American Alzheimer's Association.
