Matthew Allen Nelson, 48, of Jonesboro, passed away Tuesday, September 12, 2022, at his residence. He was born July 29, 1974, in Jonesboro to Bob and Carolyn Nelson.

Matthew worked at Nelson Printing and had a Bachelor degree in Graphic Communications from ASU. He was of United Methodist belief. His hobbies were being a HAM Radio operator (N5TKN), a volunteer for Sky Warn, and a Craighead County office of Emergency Management volunteer.

Preceding Matthew in death are his father and sister, Nancy Nelson.

Survivors include his mother; mother of his daughter, Teri Nelson; and daughter, Reagan Adria Nelson, and numerous aunts, uncles, a niece, cousins and friends.

Chapel services will be 2 pm Sunday at Roller-Farmers Union Funeral Home, 1900 West Washington Avenue in Jonesboro. Visitation will begin at 1:00 pm. Burial will follow at Oaklawn Cemetery.

I still remember Matt as a very young man where he was doing " Ham Radio " or Red Cross damage assessments. May God Bless his family and help them through this sad time
