My father, Clem, was Bill's first cousin. They enjoyed a wonderful email relationship for many years. I was pleased to stay in touch with him after my father died and was always impressed by his masterful writing skills. My condolences to his family.

My condolences to Roberta, David and John. I really liked your Dad. He was a Christian gentleman with a calm, kind and scholarly demeanor, a quick wit and great sense of humor. I remember how your parents welcomed us in there home in Bridgeport, Ct. There was always lots of laughs and great food. May God bless his soul.

To the family,

Thank you for sharing your father with me during this past decade. I enjoyed his company as a fellow participant in the Great Books tradition. I have many of his books on my shelf today. I share his original stories with my students. My life is richer for knowing him.
