John J. Cook, was born on May 20, 1937 in Marvel, AR to the late Jessie & Robbie Cook and departed August 18, 2022 at his home in Sherwood, AR.

He was preceded in death by both parents and brothers, JD Cook, William L. Cook and Walter Cook

He born into a sharecropper family and exemplified the value of hard work he was the ultimate provider for his family. He served in the Marine Corps for over 3 years and was employed by the 3M Company for over 37 years. He loved his family and enjoyed gardening and deer hunting.

He is survived by his sweetheart of 61 years, Marilyn Cook of Sherwood; and his sons, John D. (Dayna) Cook of Springdale, AR, Jeff Cook of Springdale, AR and Clint (Lindsey) Cook of Vilonia, AR. His four grandsons, Daniel Spear, Alan King, Matthew Cook and Connor Cook; two great grandchildren, Dayne King and Penelope King; sister-in-law, Shirley Throckmorton and brother-in-law, Johnnie Keister and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was a member of the Brockington Road Church of the Nazarene, Sherwood, AR.

Visitation will be Monday, August 22 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. and funeral service Tuesday, August 23, at 11:30 a.m., both at Roller-Owens Funeral Home, 5509 JFK Blvd, North Little Rock. Interment will follow at Rest Hills Memorial Park.

Memorials may be made to Brockington Road Church of the Nazarene Missions, or Gideon's International Ministries.

John was a co worker at 3m arch street for many years. You could not ask for more honest hard working and dedicated person. He helped a lot of his fellow workers never asking for anything in return. May he Rest In Peace and my thoughts and prayers at this time .

To my precious Aunt Trudy & John, Jeff & Clint, we're praying for u all & love u all so much!
