Marcille Flippen, 86, of Mt. Vernon, Arkansas went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, August 9, 2022. She was born June 15, 1936 in Mt. Vernon, Arkansas to the late Leo Lawrence and Leota Mae Starr Bartley. Marcille was also preceded in death by her sister, Sue Bartley and one daughter, Teresa Samuels.
Marcille is survived by her loving husband of 69 years, Eugene Flippen; son, Greg Flippen (Suzy); two daughters, Martha Hagerman (Cliff) and Sherry Beeson (Gary); brothers, Jerry Bartley (Audrey), Orlan (Rosemary), Bill Bartley and Karl Bartley (Terri); sisters, Betty McFarland (Bill), Linda Hicks and Janice Swope (Jimmy Scroggin); 7 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; 4 step-great-grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.
Marcille was a long-time member of the North Oak Church of Christ in Mt. Vernon, Arkansas and was employed as an office manager and doctor assistant for over 30 years. She always put her family first and was a faithful caregiver to several of her family members. Marcille enjoyed working in her flower garden and camping. Most of all, she loved spending time with her family and friends. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Visitation will be from 6:00pm to 8:00pm Monday, August 15, 2022 at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home in Conway. Funeral services will be at 10:00am Tuesday, August 16, 2022 at the funeral home, with burial following at Riverwood Memorial Gardens in Maumelle.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to Kindred Hospice and staff for their compassionate care to their mom and her family.
