Wanda Faye Wooten

of Searcy, AR

November 6, 1941 - July 10, 2022

Wanda Faye Wooten, age 80 of Searcy, Arkansas entered the kingdom of heaven on Sunday, July 10, 2022 at her home in Searcy. She was born in Searcy, Arkansas on November 6, 1941 to Shelby Gene Campbell and Faye Sample Campbell.

She was a faithful member of the First Baptist Church Sugarloaf. She is survived by her beloved son, Todd Wooten and wife Laura of Little Rock; grandchildren, Alex White of Conway and Grace White of Little Rock; her sister, Peggy Barnard of Bend, Oregon; niece Stacy Irwin and husband Jeff of Bend, Oregon, and grand-niece, Sydney Irwin of Reno, Nevada. She is preceded in death by the love of her life, her husband of sixty-two years, Delton Roger Wooten; parents, Shelby Gene Campbell and Faye Sample Campbell; and many other relatives and friends.

A successful merchant, Wanda owned a children's store, Young Fashions, in downtown Searcy, Arkansas with her mother for over forty years. Upon her retirement from Young Fashions, she worked with her husband in his automobile dealership until his retirement.

Wanda was a true force of nature. A woman of impeccable taste and style, she was a gifted interior decorator. She loved Christmas and was known for her beautiful and elaborate Christmas decorations in her home and the homes she decorated for her friends and clients. A great cook, she was popular with Todd's college roommates for the Italian wedding cakes she delivered on a weekly basis while taking baking classes.

Wanda was a graduate of Searcy High School where she played clarinet in the band. She enjoyed fishing with her husband and family and was an Arkansas Razorbacks fan.

She loved her husband and son dearly and was the best mother in the whole world. She will be sorely missed by her family for whom she was their rock.

The family extends its special appreciation to Wanda's nephew, Danny Ray Rhoads for his love, care and support. The family thanks and recognizes Lee Ann Rogers, Julie Biard, Brenda Cullum, and Michelle Burton for their love and excellent care of Wanda.

A celebration of Wanda's life will begin at 2 p.m. on Saturday, July 16, 2022 at Roller Daniel Funeral Home in Searcy, Arkansas with Rev. Danny Brown officiating. Visitation at the same location will begin at 1 p.m. Interment will follow at White County Memorial Gardens in Searcy.
Flowers and plants are appreciated as Wanda was a lover of floral; or a donation in her memory to First Baptist Church Sugarloaf, 557 Highway 337, Higden, Arkansas 72067 or Alzheimer's Arkansas, 201 Markham Center Drive, Little Rock, Arkansas 72205.

This was the women so often as a young girl I did get to see often as my friends mother often took. Us here to shop. It was the best shop in town for young ones and I remember she always was so pretty and dressed nice and often allowed Ms Easley to take dresses home to let Lori try them on there as Lori was so much more the tomboy back in those days. We often would be downtown and the store had beautiful window dressings fit for a princess and/or prince !
We know that she is singing and dancing up in heaven now that she has left her earthly home and hope her family have peace in knowing that she now home

God Bless
